Chapter 1: Darkness abroad.

Snippet 1:

“This is DFS Soldier #181450 Human Private Tina Argentine, dropship Whale, do you copy? Private Tina Argentine requesting pickup from dropship Whale, do you copy?” “Ssszzrrrzssrrs…”

…Nothing but silence and static. Tina put down the pocket communicator that her suit had, while she pondered over her situation. To think that she would be shot out of orbit before she even landed and end up in some kind of ultra dark room or cave. She could hardly see her hands when she put them up to her face. She had located the backpack and back armor by grasping at the darkness, but the communicator will bring her no luck. She seems stuck here, in unknown enemy territory.

Well, not unknown enemy, just their land. Well, not their land, the land they invaded! Gah! Details. “You always have to get those details don’t you Tina” she said softly to herself. She sighed and leaned her head backwards, letting it rest against the slightly damp stonelike surface she was keeping herself in a sitting position on. She was slightly hungry, slightly thirsty. She doesn’t know how long she has been down here, her ADA system in the suit died when she was hit in the air. “And the DFS say their drop pods are the most secure of them all. Pfff what a load of dimradish.”

After resting for a little while, calming her mind, she began roaming along the floor again, looking for anything to grab hold of. She could feel some of the pieces of her broken armor that she tossed when she got out of the drop pod. On her was the right and left leg, the hip and the entire left arm’s armor. Her right arm, chest, stomach and head was without protection besides the basic jumpsuit they wear under the power suit, as she had just shaken off what she could in her crazed grasping for air. It wasn’t that the filters in the helmet stopped working, but the terror can make everything seem constricting. She was lucky that the atmosphere of this planet was almost akin to that of her homeworld. There was a smell of copper everywhere, which kind of worried her.

Before she could grab her helmet and put it back on though, a light broke in the distant end of the cavern she was located in.
